SV	Dewijl ik hem, die mij boodschapte, zeggende: Zie, Saul is dood; daar hij in zijn ogen was als een, die goede boodschap bracht, nochtans gegrepen en te Ziklag gedood heb, hoewel hij [meende], dat ik hem bodenloon zou geven;
WLC	כִּ֣י הַמַּגִּיד֩ לִ֨י לֵאמֹ֜ר הִנֵּה־מֵ֣ת שָׁא֗וּל וְהֽוּא־הָיָ֤ה כִמְבַשֵּׂר֙ בְּעֵינָ֔יו וָאֹחֲזָ֣ה בֹ֔ו וָאֶהְרְגֵ֖הוּ בְּצִֽקְלָ֑ג אֲשֶׁ֥ר לְתִתִּי־לֹ֖ו בְּשֹׂרָֽה׃
Trans.	kî hammagîḏ lî lē’mōr hinnēh-mēṯ šā’ûl wəhû’-hāyâ ḵiməḇaśśēr bə‘ênāyw wā’ōḥăzâ ḇwō wā’ehərəḡēhû bəṣiqəlāḡ ’ăšer ləṯitî-lwō bəśōrâ:

AC	י כי המגיד לי לאמר הנה מת שאול והוא היה כמבשר בעיניו ואחזה בו ואהרגהו בצקלג--אשר לתתי לו בשרה
ASV	when one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, which was the reward I gave him for his tidings.
BE	When one came to me with the news of Saul's death, in the belief that it would be good news, I took him and put him to death in Ziklag, which was the reward I gave him for his news:
Darby	when one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead! and he was in his own sight a messenger of good, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag -- to whom forsooth I should give a reward for his good tidings:
ELB05	Siehe, Saul ist tot! und der in seinen Augen ein guter Bote war, den ergriff ich und tötete ihn zu Ziklag, um ihm so Botenlohn zu geben;
LSG	celui qui est venu me dire: Voici, Saül est mort, et qui croyait m'annoncer une bonne nouvelle, je l'ai fait saisir et tuer à Tsiklag, pour lui donner le salaire de son message;
Sch	ich ergriff den, der mir Kunde brachte und sprach: «Siehe, Saul ist tot!» und dabei meinte, ein guter Bote zu sein, und ich tötete ihn zu Ziklag, um ihm den Botenlohn zu geben.
